NEW Clipart CD Drive Copier: Automatically copies clip art from a CD and creates a virtual CD image on your hard drive. This enables Smart Designer users to install the clip art on their Smart Designs CD's and use the interactive features of the Clip Art Browser without having the CD in the drive.
NEW Object Cleanup: Clean up vector artwork by selecting an object(s) and automatically convert it to a perfect square, circle or ellipse. Type set text by automatically replacing individual letters or lines of traced text with a live font.
IMPROVED Tutorial Docker: Access interactive video tutorials and play them directly inside Smart Designer X3 with Windows Media Player. Split the screen while viewing a tutorial and start, stop or pause tutorials as you practice along. Tutorials are now divided into categories by product and additional tutorials can be downloaded and installed from the Internet.
NEW Art Preparation Features: This is an entirely new category of features designed to automate the process of preparing artwork for production. Automated features reduce colors, consolidate multiple blacks, convert designs to spot colors, convert designs to specific color palettes, make whites printable, convert images to black and white, trap colors, remove small elements and more.
NEW Effects Bar: All effects have been consolidated to the Effects Bar which docks at the bottom of your CorelDRAW workspace. 6 new effects categories have been added including textures, patterns, power clips, vector fills, backgrounds/drop shadows and bitmap presets. Envelopes and arches can not be applied to any selected text or object.
NEW Art Selection Features: This is an entirely new category of features designed to automate the process of selecting objects for editing. Automated features will select by outline color, fill color, outline width. You can also select all rectangles, all ellipses, all text or all bitmaps. Using the Invert Selection feature, objects that are deselected will be selected and objects that are selected will be deselected.
NEW SD X3 Organizer: Completely integrated job and order management system, includes order processing, quotes, customer database, supplier database, employee database, job tracking and calendar.
NEW Halftone Wizard: Apply a halftone dot type, frequency and angle to a group of objects or selected objects with spot colors. Dot size can be set globally for a document.
NEW AND IMPROVED Product Blanks: Blanks can be colored with editable textures including wood grain, fabrics, diamonad plate etc... PDF files can now be generated directly from the Product Blanks feature.
IMPROVED Create Flash Base: Creates color separations with an underbase and white highlights on both vector and bitmap images for screen printing or direct to garment printing on dark garments.
