Why DAS University?

One of the biggest challenges facing any software company is helping owners to effectively use the software. The fact remains that most software owners underutilize their programs. Creating compelling graphics and using imprinting equipment can be a complex and confusing process, especially for people without formal experience. DAS understands that the success of your business is directly related to how effective you use of your software and equipment. The mere fact that a business can purchase equipment and or software will not guarantee its success. We believe that when you invest in equipment and software, you should budget a minimum of 20% of the purchase price to invest in training. You will accomplish little with the best hardware and software in the world, if you do not know how to use it effectively and secure a return on the investment..

Our Vision

Course Content

The course content at DAS University is delivered in lecture style, break-out sessions by topic, workshops and group project environments. The course content is divided into three tracks. The General Track is focused on concepts that everyone in these imprinting industries should know. The Embroidery Track offers content and training that is more specific to embroidery processes and likewise the Digital Track offers content specific to businesses engaged in Direct To Garment and other digital imprinting methods.

DAS University is ideal for screen printers, embroiderers, direct to garment printers, engravers, sublimation printers and promotional products distributors. Please join us in Arizona for the DAS University and you will begin your journey to increase your performance and create lasting improvements for your business!

Fees

Fees For Three Day Course

The fee for the three-day boot camp is $800 for the first person from a company and $650 for each additional person.

What's Included

The fee includes three complete days of training, lunches, snacks, beverages and a comprehensive workbook and a variety of handouts. The workbook recaps in writing the lessons covered during the training.

Deposits

A non-refundable $400 deposit is required for each person to reserve space in a class. The balance of the payment will be charged 30 days prior to the start date of the class.

Cancellation Policy

The $400 deposit is non-refundable. Once the final payment is charged 30 days prior to the start of the class, no refunds will be issued.

Instructors

Craig Mertens

Craig Mertens is the developer of the Smart Designs Art System and is the President of Digital Art Solutions. He is a Corel Certified Trainer and has taught hundreds of users the ins and outs of CorelDRAW and the Smart Designs Art System at numerous trade show seminars. Previous to founding Digital Art Solutions, Craig was a top producing sales representative in the imprinted sportswear industry.

Jay Busselle

For over 20 years Jay Busselle has worked in the design, production and sales of Advertising, Decorated Apparel, and Promotional Products. Jay has industry specific experience, business ownership and a graphic design background that will help deliver content and advice that is timely and accurate.

Flights

For those flying in, you should schedule your flights into Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. From the airport, it is about a 10-minute drive to our offices and the official hotel, 5 miles east of Sky Harbor Airport.

What to do in Phoenix

Depending on the time of year, you might want to come in early or stay late. Tempe is located in the heart of tourist country and there are numerous activities in the general area. With hundreds of golf courses in the area, finding a golf course will not be a problem. If you plan on golfing in you're off time, make sure to reserve a tee time well in advance.
