Smart Designer Pro 2020: New User Orientation

What will you learn?

Learn the basics of the new Smart Designer Pro 2020. We will be covering the essential skills required to successfully utilize Smart Designer. The basic operation of the software including editing templates, working with virtual samples, creating sales proposals, and navigating through the installed art content. We will also be revealing the all-new Graphics Browser with the integrated keyword search for both templates and clipart. 

Why is this class important? 

Smart Designer users can produce graphics in a fraction of the time compared to traditional methods such as using CorelDRAW by itself or Adobe Illustrator. This class will identify a methodology to streamline the process of designing and producing custom graphics. 

Learn How to:

  1. Configure the CorelDRAW Workspace for maximum efficiency.
  2. Create customized designs using interactive design templates.
  3. Develop impactful virtual samples and custom sales proposals.
  4. Add virtual value to custom graphics using dynamic effects.
  5. Transfer completed graphics files to outside suppliers.

Maximizing Sales Opportunities Using a DTG Printer 

What will you learn?

Join guest speaker Chuck Northcut from Ricoh USA as we outline a strategy for print on demand small production runs using a DTG printer. Order minimums are a serious hindrance to opening new accounts. You want to get your foot in the door, but standing in the way is a production process that requires a large minimum. Smaller customers often cannot meet the minimum quantities. A DTG printer can bypass minimums so small clients can order more frequently, thus increasing revenue.

What will you learn?

Applique is a widely popular embroidery technique with high-profit margins. This class will explore the various techniques for converting vector graphics into production-ready applique sew files. The class requires no understanding of digitizing. We will be creating sew files for applique without digitizing. 

Why is this class important? 

If you have a vinyl cutter and an embroidery machine, you can create applique files that are more profitable than traditional embroidery with lower production costs. 

Learn How to:

  1. Prepare vector graphics for the applique process.
  2. Create custom sew files from your vector graphics without digitizing.
  3. Add embroidery elements and special effects to your applique designs.
  4. Set up the applique file for production with your embroidery machine and vinyl cutter.
  5. Create realistic renderings and virtual samples with applique and embroidery.
