The Graphics Academy Master Series

The master series is a 10 part training course that outlines a successful strategy for working with graphics for popular processes. Each class focuses on the nuance of graphics preparation, design, and production for a specific process. The classes are designed for both experts and beginners. Each class will feature CorelDRAW as the primary graphics program, but the principles that are taught will also apply to Adobe Illustrator and other vector graphics programs. 

 

MONDAY 4/5

Mastering Graphics for Vinyl Cutting and Heat Applied Transfers

What will you learn?

This class focuses on design and production techniques for vinyl graphics and decals. We outline a strategy for preparing graphics for output as well as the nuances of working with popular materials including glitter vinyl, metallic foils, and sign vinyl. The class will feature CorelDRAW, but will also be beneficial for anyone using Adobe Illustrator or other vector graphics programs.

Why is this class important?

Learn a practical skillset for the design and production of vinyl graphics and heat-applied transfers.

Learn How to:

  1. Properly prepare and design graphics for heat press films, decals, and banners.
  2. Create player names and number layouts from a text file or list.
  3. Set up graphics files for production and output them to a vinyl cutter.
  4. Adapt complex artwork with overlapping layers for vinyl graphics.
  5. Incorporate special vinyl such as glitter vinyl and metallic films into your designs.

Mastering Graphics for Rhinestone Multi-Decoration

What will you learn?

Rhinestone multi-decoration remains a popular production process, especially in the spiritwear market segment. The class will feature CorelDRAW, but will also be beneficial for anyone using Adobe Illustrator or other vector graphics programs.

Learn a practical skillset for the design and production of graphics for wide-format digital printing and banners.
